Özyeğin University Artificial Intelligence Master’s Program Graduate Furkan Cantürk Awarded Third Prize for His Thesis by IEEE Computer Science Türkiye

Furkan Cantürk, a graduate of the Özyeğin University Artificial Intelligence Master’s Program, has been honored with third prize by the IEEE Computer Society Türkiye in recognition of his thesis. The IEEE Computer Society Türkiye Master's Thesis Awards is a distinguished accolade awarded annually to recognize and reward exceptional master’s theses in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering. This year, 18 competitive applications were received for the IEEE Computer Society Türkiye Master's Thesis Awards. Furkan Cantürk secured third place with his thesis "Graph Neural Networks-based Primal Heuristics for Combinatorial Optimization”, which was supervised by Dr. Reyhan Aydoğan and Prof. Dr. Okan Örsan Özener. The awards were presented to their recipients at the 8th International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (UBMK 2023).
