Air Law

Lale Kaplan studied law in Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi and specialized on Air Law, Alliance, Competition Law and Commercial Law. She started working as a Legal Counselor at Turkish Airlines, and then became the Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Upon changing her department to Commercial Department, she worked as the regional director of UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Bahrain and Sri Lanka between 2003 and 2007. Before her retirement from Turkish Airline in 2009, she became the Senior Vice President of International Affairs and Alliances and leaded integration of Turkish Airlines into Star Alliance. Since then, she became Chief Legal Counsel of Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. She is member of  Pendik Soroptomist Club which is International NGO. In addition, she has given lectures at different universities regarding the hot topics of Air Law. She is founder of Selamoglu Law Firm. She is member of Space and Aviation council and Transportation Law Commission at Istanbul Bar Association. She is married, with one child and speaks English. She is teaching Aviation Law  and Introduction to Turkish Employment Law  at Ozyegin University Faculty of Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences.
