Özge Yücel Dericiler graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 1998. After completing his internship at Ankara Bar Association, he received his MA in Political Science and his PhD in General Public Law from Ankara University. He continued some of his doctoral studies at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at Lund University with a scholarship from the Swedish Institute. He works in the fields of human rights, state theory and political philosophy. He currently teaches General Public Law, Human Rights Law, Law and Literature, Law and Cinema and Social State, Welfare State and Social Rights. As of September 2014, he is a member of the UNESCO Turkish National Commission Bioethics Specialization Committee.
