Ali Erkan received a BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University in 1995, followed by an MSc degree in the same field from Bilkent University in 1997. He later earned a second MSc degree in Software Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2010 and his PhD in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2024. His professional experience includes working as a software engineer and manager at institutions like Havelsan, Sabancı Holding, and Turkcell from 1999 to 2017. He then worked as a researcher at Boğaziçi University's Computer Engineering Department from 2017 to 2022, and as an instructor at Koc University's Computer Engineering Department from 2022 to 2025. He continues his research in the areas of machine learning and natural language processing.
