Electrical-Electronics Engineering Undergraduate Students Awarded TÜBİTAK 2209 Grant Support

A research proposal prepared by undergraduate students from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Özyeğin University under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Göktürk Poyrazoğlu, Department Chair, has been awarded grant support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Support Program for Undergraduate Students.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Sude Kösekul, Bilge Sultan Yılmaz, and Yonca Tanığ received support in recognition of their project “Development of Web-Based Energy Storage Management System for Carbon-Free e-Mobility.”

The project aims to deliver uninterrupted and carbon-free charging services at electric vehicle charging stations by harnessing solar energy integration. Using cameras and image processing techniques, the project will monitor vehicle arrivals and departures while employing artificial intelligence-based methods to predict charging demands. Through efficiently and sustainably managing energy storage systems, the project is expected to lay the foundation for an environmentally friendly and predictive e-mobility infrastructure.
