Our Mechanical Engineering Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Arık Elected as Independent Board Member at ASELSAN

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Arık, a faculty member at our Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been honored as an independent member admitted to the Board of Directors at ASELSAN, one of the leading technology companies in Turkey founded by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.

Prof. Dr. Arık is renowned for the numerous joint projects he has undertaken in collaboration with the Undersecretariat For Defense Industries and ASELSAN under the EVATEG center since 2013.  ASELSAN is projected to be among the global top 20 defense companies in the next five years.

Alongside his role as an independent member of the Board of Directors at ASELSAN, Prof. Dr. Arık will also serve as the Head of the Risk Management Committee and Member of the Audit Committee to inform board members and the CEO about internal and external risks.

In his new role, Prof. Dr. Arık will also endeavor to offer internship opportunities at ASELSAN to our university students, and help our faculty bring their valuable projects to life.
